Scouting Otago Gang Show History
The first Gang Show in Otago was staged in 1956 and ten shows followed until the Gang Show went into recess in 1965. Gang Show restarted in Dunedin in 1976 and this years show is the 26th Scouting Otago Production
Until the 1999 show, the cast had always been drawn from members of Scouting Otago (Cubs over 10 years, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders.) In 1999 we welcomed members of Guides Otago for the first time.
Over 100 people auditioned for the 75 places available in the "Gang"
Co-producers of the 2005 show are Noel and Sue Walker, who have produced all the shows since 1980. This years will be their 14th Gang Show production.
