Scouts Coastal Otago Zone

Scouts provides a safe, nurturing and fun environment for young boys and girls to learn and develop in. Through interaction with others and teamwork, Scouting develops leadership skills and self confidence, as well as an appreciation of the outdoors.

We cater for Keas (years 1-3), Cubs (years 3-6), Scouts (years 6-10) and Venturers (years 10-13). We also have Rover Scout Crews that provide a "Service Club" for ages 18-26 years.

Scout groups typically meet weekly in the local Scout hall or similar facilities in the community. Meetings usually last for one or two hours, and are held in the evening or after school.

Scouts Coastal Otago also has a range of facilities available for public and Scouts' use, including Waiora Scout Camp.
